The Madras Mag is now calling for manuscript submissions for its new publishing venture. We are interested in novellas or novel-length works across genres, in English. As well as non-fiction works (completed). Either the writer or the work must have an Indian connection. We are looking for fresh Indian voices that display depth, so previous publication is not necessary. However, if you have been published elsewhere please include those details in your bio. We are also open to receiving genre-bending, innovative work. Writers who have at least one published book to their name are invited to send works whose length may be shorter than usual novellas or non fiction books (but at least 7,500 words) as well.

Some guidelines:

• Please send us only complete works. Do not send us the first few chapters alone or pitches.
• This call is for fiction and non-fiction only.
• We are currently not accepting poetry collections.
• Short story collections may be considered depending on the content, theme etc, but they must be atleast 17,000 words in length.
