Some guidelines…

- Send us a story or a narrative non-fiction piece under 10,000 words. Book reviews should be under 2,000 words ideally.

- UK spelling

- While we will edit the story with the author, we may disregard one that has not been proofread for errors in spellings, among other things. So please read your stories carefully once before sending them.

- We accept submissions in all genres.

- We will publish selected stories in both written and audio-book formats. Your story will be read by a professional; the same will be recorded and uploaded on the site, particularly to make things easy for the visually challenged. We would also love it if you volunteer to read the story yourself, once it has been selected for publication.

- Any story sent in before the 10th of a month will be considered for publication the following month. Other stories will be rolled over to the following month.

- Please email your submissions to  [email protected]. We will respond as soon as possible and try to offer reasons for rejection in as many cases as possible.

- We do not ask for any copyright transfers. We only ask for a non-exclusive perpetual licence to publish your story (in written and audio-book form) on madrasmag.in.

- At present we do not offer any compensation. But hope to get there some time soon. We do not charge any reading fee. And our content is available for free.

- With your submission, please include a brief bio, and a declaration that your work is your own.

- We accept only previously unpublished stories.

- We are now accepting manuscripts for full-length works. Follow this link for details – http://mulligatawny.in/
