Anita’s Attic is a joint venture between Anita Nair, author, and *conditionsapply, a digital agency in Bangalore. It is a comprehensive writing and mentorship program curated & conducted by author Anita Nair, and is held bi-annually in Bengaluru.
Anita’s Attic Creative Writing Mentorship program is aimed at identifying, nurturing and empowering literary talent across multiple genres of writing. What Anita’s Attic hopes to achieve is to help individuals locate and explore their core strength to write their stories in a compelling and engaging manner. The program also is a launch pad to promote the best talent through agent networking, publishing, and state-of-the-art marketing tools such as digital platforms.The mentorship program has been carefully designed to help introduce the participant to the writing process. This would involve assignments that will be evaluated and discussed, so that the participant becomes acquainted with both the thought and craft that goes into the creation of a piece of writing. This will also enable the participant to understand how exactly to locate the ‘voice’ which is the foundation to a literary pursuit. Thereafter, the voice would be worked on to help the writer create a piece of work that could be the stepping stone to a literary career.
