Lunch in Office

By Selva Swetha

How delicious

the peeling of a pomegranate is.

Nimble fingers

separate kernel from pith

fumbling sometimes,

and the love poems

brimming within

surge forth,

leaving bursts of song,

half blood-blushed,

on stainless steel.
